The hotel was absolutely incredible and beautiful, I loved it, especially the river view. A mini bar and central heating were available in my deluxe twin room. - the location was lovely, right by the Douro River. - It was a short walk to a very good restaurant for dinner and to the farm and vineyards of the Douro region, known for its wine and port.

The room was spacious and breathtaking with central heating, a mini-fridge-bar, and a work desk.
Modern place to stay with wonderful location to Pinhao village centre and appetising food. The rooms with an amazing view. Location adjacent to the farm, the Douro valley, and Portugal, the region and, of course, the wine and port.

The staff and the owner were all very good. We got extremely spacious and breathtaking family room with an amazing view as an upgrade, nice gesture. The breakfast was gorgeous, they make lots of meals. The location of this hotel adjacent to Douro river and Pinhao village centre was amazing and marvellous. It also was on top of the hill...

I had the most incredible stay at Stay At the Winemaker. From the moment I arrived, Maarten made me feel welcome and at home. the view from the room, with its full wall window overlooking the stunning Douro Valley, was absolutely breathtaking. the room itself was spotless and well-equipped, and the breakfast served by Maarten was delicious and catered to everyone's tastes. But what truly made this experience unforgettable was Maarten himself. His kindness, hospitality, and entertaining stories created such a warm and comfortable atmosphere. I can't recommend Stay At the Winemaker enough. Cons: Everything is what I need and want. 🙌.

Maarten, the host, was amazing and made sure that my experience was unforgettable. the house, rooms, terrace, and garden were stunning, but it was the breathtaking view that truly took my breath away. Maarten went above and beyond to ensure that I had a great time, from a fantastic BBQ to a delicious breakfast. He even taught me about the local vineyards and treated me to a tasting of his own wines and ports. I can't wait to come back to this amazing place. Cons: Could not be improved in any way 👌.

My stay at this incredible location was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by the amazing host who made me feel like family. The views from the property were absolutely breathtaking, and I couldn't get enough of the stunning river scenery. The rooms were spacious and clean, with amazing views overlooking the river. I also had the privilege of enjoying a delicious glass of wine on arrival and indulging in a fantastic breakfast with plenty of options to choose from. One of the highlights of my stay was the evening BBQ, which was a fun and memorable experience. The host's passion and knowledge for wine were infectious, and I left feeling inspired to learn more. this was truly a highlight of my trip, and I would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area.
The only drawback I can think of is that having your own car is necessary to access the nearby restaurants. However, the host graciously allowed me to use the onsite facilities, so this was not a major inconvenience for me.

The views from this hillside property were absolutely breathtaking - overlooking the river and valley below. The host, Maarten, was incredibly friendly and helpful, sharing his extensive knowledge of the wine-making process and recommending the best wineries for a port tasting. We also enjoyed a delicious evening cookout and a hearty breakfast the next morning. The location was peaceful and isolated, offering a serene and quiet atmosphere to relax.
The ride up the hillside to reach the property was a bit challenging, with narrow and twisty roads and limited guard rails. However, the stunning views along the way made up for the difficulty.

It truly made our New Year experience memorable. the host, Maarten, went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible stay. His warm hospitality and extensive knowledge of wine made our time there even more enjoyable.
The road leading up to the hotel was quite challenging, with narrow and twisty roads. Some parts of the road lacked guard rails, which made her feel uncomfortable.
